I had the most vivid dream last night where Mr. Mullen called and told me my waiver was approved. Felt so real I rolled over and checked my email for an update from the DODMERB portal. Anyone else??

Heads up that you may not get an email, but rather your portal will simply update.

Literally the same thing last night. I've been waiting for about a month now...we must be losing it a little.
With quarantine I have nothing better to do than check my status ever few hours. Worst time to have to wait, but hang in there we'll hear soon!

I love this haha. I feel the same way. I appreciate the obsession with starting this journey. I can’t wait until we can all start this process and career. I’m currently waiting for a waiver request from ROTC.

My daughter has been waiting for her waiver for 7 weeks now. She keeps checking in every three weeks. They were expecting her file to be looked at by yesterday. Still no update though. We are trying to be patient but the wait is driving me nuts.

which waiver authority?

Beware, depending on the nature of the disqualification(s), waivers can take a LONG time. DS has been waiting for AROTC waiver for well over a YEAR. He was told by cadre in early March the last waiver had been approved, but we are still waiting for the paperwork to catch up and his portal to be updated so he can contract before the school year ends.

There are certain mental and behavioral health waivers that are NOT authorized to be decisioned at Cadet Command or West Point's level...they need to be determined at the Department of Army level (DMPM- Directorate of Military Personnel Management). Those waivers will obviously take longer.

So he was doing ROTC while waiting on the waiver? Man, I'd have a hard time putting all that work into ROTC with the chance of having it all be for nothing if they don't approve my waiver. I'll still do that if I'm not approved by the start of my year but that would suck.

It's called dedication to your objective. Getting the scholarship funds flowing is a great motivator.

Does anyone know if wrong DODMERB DQ's are given waivers more quickly? The remedial I sent in for my psoriasis DQ had a statement from my dermatologist saying I never had psoriasis.

DoDMERB DQs are the only applicants that are considered by medical waiver authorities :wiggle:
