Waiver Possibilities for Strabismus

So I was told when I was younger that I had a minor lazy eye and that it was completely treatable with exercises. I haven't had a problem with it for years now but was told that I have Strabismus - esotropia at my medical examination. On my application for USAFA, under my medical status it says "Disqualified", does that mean I can't get a waiver? Under DoDMERB it states that my Current Medical Status is under waiver review. What are my chances of getting a waiver?

Also, is there anything in particular that I have to do for the waiver or do I just wait?

Thank you so much for your help!

Don't know your chances but evidently you are being considered for a waiver. Be patient, these can take a lot of time. For now you just sit and wait, although it might be helpful to gather medical records in case they are requested.

Google "DoDMERB;"
Hit "Questions on the process;"
"IF" you meet the criteria in paragraphs 11-12....then 15-19, 21-22 will apply :wiggle:
