Hello, this afternoon I was promoted from dodmets to dodmerb. I was just curious if I needed a waiver or extra information would they be determined in dodmerb or did I already pass that step. Thank you.
 
It will come in your DODMERB portal. You will get both an email stating you have information and to check your DODMERB portal, which will contain the correspondence you can download and print. One of the correspondences can be “fully qualified”.

DODMETS: the contracted organization which coordinates armed forces medical accession testing and reporting. If you click on “About Us,” you’ll see they are a .com company.

DODMERB: the DOD organization responsible for evaluating for Q/DQ conditions against the established DOD standard. They review the results submitted from DODMETS.
Their website is worth reading, every page, link and dropdown. The menu on the left of the home page, double ditto. There are process road maps there.

The individual Services may waive or not waive DQs, according to their individual policies, which may differ due to mission, gear and operating environments.

The primary source is going to be your best bet to get answers to the most common questions. The DODMERB FAQs have grown from years and years of common questions. Though there is plenty of sound advice offered here, it is an anonymous unofficial Internet forum. You won’t go wrong with starting your research at the official source and finding amplifying anecdotes or experiences here on SAF.
