West Point

I think they meant that last wave of a few hundred will go out which lines up with 15th April portal update...so if no appointment by Friday then probably will not get one
 
I hard that just over 1,100 offers of appointment have gone out so far and that about 750 have accepted. So there are still 450 spots in the class not filled. Some applicants have not responded yet to their appointment offer and some have declined.
 
Don't close to 1600 offers of appointments go out? Also, if there have been that many kids who have accepted why do they not just start sending TWE in order to end the waiting process? I feel like no TWE have went out yet, that seems very odd, or maybe I am in a good spot.

You're in a better spot than if you had already gotten a TWE and many candidates have received them already. The amount of appointment offers change depending on how many students the admission committee thinks will accept but usually they send out about 1400. There are some students who are applying to West Point and other schools (like Yale ) so even if they hear from West Point first they may wait to see if they get in the other schools and they will wait for their financial package too before they decided. To many students a good financial package at a very acclaimed school will beat out West Point. And .... then there are the students at the prep academies who have offers from more than one academy or already have one from West Point but are waiting for another academy because West point is not their first choice.

More spots will open up after the May first decision deadline.

If you haven't been rejected yet you are still in the running! Also West Point may give you a prep school spot, or sponsor you to go to a JMC.
