So a friend of mine was called today by our mutual Congressman saying he had received a nomination to USAFA. I was not called. There were only 30 students interviewing in my district which is relatively small. Anyways, it is my understanding that each congressman can nominate a slate of up to ten. Their first choice receives a nomination from that particular Congressman, while the others are put into a nationwide pool, among which, those with the highest WCS are given a nomination by the Superintendent in order to fill the remaining places. Is this correct? Anyways to those of you who were/are/know about this situation any advice? I'm not necessarily crushed, but I had (do) expect a nomination of some sort (34 ACTs, Eagle Scout, Varsity capt, CAP, good CFA, good (I thought) interview, etc, etc) Does anyone know if and when I would/should be receiving notice, one way or another?
