Focus on your schoolwork, get involved with (or stay involved with) a sport and a couple clubs. Position yourself to get leadership roles in these extracirriculars in the next couple years. Stay out of trouble. Other than that, enjoy your high school experience, because it goes by all too quickly.
Extra Currics, Volunteering, Schoolwork, Sports, Leadership.... and then come Junior year, apply for SLS!
I took a tour my sophomore year that was pretty cool. Maybe if you're close-by, do that. Talk to people about what it's like. It's never too early to find out more about West Point.
