What time do appointments come out?

Hi all,

I'm getting a little worried about the whole appointment process. I have both of my nominations (congressional, presidential) and I still haven't heard back from USAFA yet. I checked my USAFA portal this morning and I still had the candidate status.
I know today is supposed to be a big day for appointments, do they all come out at the same time or are appointments given out throughout the day? It seems like I might be missing this wave, unfortunately.

I'm in the same boat right now. Is there a possibility that I will be notified through the mail before my portal?

Until you get the proverbial BFE, you are in the game. DD received her offer of appointment to USAFA two days before the national commitment date of May 1, after not even having a nomination just a couple days before that. So be patient and worry only about what you can control. An offer made in January is worth the same as an offer made in June.

Today (March 10) is solidly in the middle of the offer date ranges from prior years. As for the time off day, I'll just say this. It's 7 am at the academy as I'm posting this. Take deep breaths, no matter what happens, everything will be fine.

So do you think they are all sent out at once or different times?

USAFA servers update from 12:00-2:00AM PST, usually. Emails and portal notifications seems to go out immediately after. You'll see two or three emails from admissions all at once to check your portal.

Would it be safe to assume that if you haven’t gotten any updates yet today, you won’t be getting one later in the day?

I'm not an expert and the first to admit any thing's possible. With that being said, historical data shows the portals update only once a day with new appointments/non-select letters. It always seems to be the 12-2AM window. You can log into the portal during that period and see a message saying the servers are updating.

Wondering this as well. Seeing everyone else getting their appointments is definitely hard, but I’m trying to keep the mindset that you’re in it until you receive a TWE. I’m right there with you on checking your portal continuously!
