I completely agree about the test scores. This year was so difficult in trying to take the SAT. My DS has fantastic grades, varsity XC and Track, multiple leadership positions, serving on a current Congressman’s educational task force, Boys State...the list goes on. He was only able to score a 1280ish and that knocked him out of the running for USMA. We’re waiting on a couple more of the SA’s but they are truly missing out on a great future leader if he’s rejected because of that score.I would just hate for the academy to lose out on such a fine young man due to a lower than average test score. Yes, I am his father but he has all the tools and the results to back up my claim. He has been dreaming for this since he was 12. His plan B is already in place scholarship or not.
He did receive an AROTC scholarship so he’s breathing a sigh of relief if nothing else works out.
