Hi all,

I am applying for the NROTC scholarship this year and I was wondering when I should submit my application. As of right now, I've only taken the SAT, and I scored a 1520. However, I'm planning to take the ACT in October in the hopes that I might get a higher score on that test. I will have finished all of my application in August, with the exception of my ACT score, if I choose to include it.

Should I wait until I receive my ACT score to submit my application, or would it be better to submit my application in August as soon as possible?

Thanks

I would say don't wait. The first board may meet in October before you can get your ACT score in. 1520 is plenty good. You can add your ACT later if it is better.

They'll accept the additional scores later. I expect with a 1520, not including writing, you'll be fine with what you have. Just make sure your application is complete and is the best application your can submit. Quality is better than early, and within that constraint, earlier is better.
