When will BFEs be sent out?

Did your DS check his portal, there should be an official letter called Offer of Admissions in the box called Official Correspondence.

Two weeks after that letter, a new box appeared with title Offered Appointment where there is a clickable link to Accept/Decline. Can you see this box on your DS portal? I think this part is more important than BFE as this triggers the appearance of a new box called Admit Kit after your DS clicks Accept.

I think wait for the Offered Appointment box to appear in the portal. The BFE should arrive by mail around the time you see the new box in the portal.

If the BFE still didn't arrive, maybe email the RC?

DS got the appointment in November. He is still waiting for the BFE. Should he worry?

No. The BFE is a nice commemorative piece. (USMA’s is better than USNA’s and USAFA’s, in my opinion. ) But otherwise it has no value. As long as the portal confirms the offer of appointment. The next big thing you’ll get in the mail is all the paperwork. And there’s a lot to do. But that will be a while still.

Most of the "paperwork" so far for DS were digital - he uploaded to the portal. For the fingerprinting, DS went to the Army recruiting center today to get electronic fingerprinting. Called first to ask if they're willing to do it and they were so nice on the phone. Go Army!

Hmm, it may have been lost in the mail but it was Priority Mail with tracking and insurance (double check ur address on file?). Your DS completed the pre-admit steps earlier than the USMA winter break. I looked at the postage stamp and for my DS it was mailed 2 days (Dec 16) after the portal official correspondence (Dec 14). Received at home on Dec 20.

We have no official offer letter but everything else lol… but we do have the green thing on the first page when logged in saying “you have been offered to admission to West Point”.
