Apparently the President has found that your perspective changes when you are actually responsible rather than being on the outside issuing sound bites. Apparently the issue with Gitmo was more about real estate than the actual policy since the administration has now reached much the same conclusion as the previous one about the necessity of incarceration without trial or release. Somewhat tongue in cheek- one wonders if President Obama will now be portrayed by much of the MSM & the more vocal citizenry on the left as being the leading edge of the destruction of civil liberties in America as President Bush frequently was portrayed?

"The Obama administration, fearing a battle with Congress that could stall plans to close the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, is drafting an executive order that would reassert presidential authority to incarcerate terrorism suspects indefinitely, according to three senior government officials with knowledge of White House deliberations.
Such an order would embrace claims by former president George W. Bush that certain people can be detained without trial for long periods under the laws of war."

....
"Three months into the Justice Department's reviews, several officials involved said they have found themselves agreeing with conclusions reached years earlier by the Bush administration: As many as 90 detainees cannot be charged or released"

Don't hold your breath, bruno. The Messiah can do no wrong.

After all, if Bush hadn't planned 9/11 in the first place, Dear Leader wouldn't be in this situation, right?

indexer, why are you here? If you want to argue with that attitude on CC there is a political forum. Even your own post states that you came over here because a friend told you to see the anti-obama sentiment on this site. Thus, you are not here to assist parents, candidates or cadets with information regarding SA's, Military colleges or ROTC. You are also not military, thus you are a troll.

This site is a family. We may bicker every now and then (usually on why you should attend the SA), but nobody here makes it their main goal to argue with everyone. It seems that your only purpose is to "set us straight". Most of us have served in the military, been a spouse of military member, in the military now, parent of a military member or a cadet waiting to be AD in the military. Our views are based on actual life experience from boots on the ground, not what the MSM feeds over the airwaves.

Indexer is a troll. I believe his first post was removed. He doesn't have anything to say about actual service academy issues, just offers his political, Anti-President Bush rants...to any subject on any thread.
