Do any of you guys have a guess as to how much time passes in between the actual board and when it appears on DODMERB?
There's no forumula CT13NW.......your file will be reviewed and you will be assigned a Whole Candidate Score (WCS) aka Whole Person Score (WPS) which takes into account your academics, test scores, community service, leadership, recommendations, school strength, etc.
Then, there's the ten folks who have nominations from some MOC. .....the "slate." When all of these are complete, all the way complete, medical waivers, etc. then USNA will offer an appointment to one of those candidates. Your decision may wait for candidates X,Y and Z to learn if they have medical waivers. Or not. Maybe X,Y and Z are not as strong as your scores, so an offer will be made without waiting for all files to be complete.
The important thing here......you have absolutely no control over any of this. And there are dozens of variables involved. Once you have submitted your application and the strongest possible application, you must simply sit and wait as the process works. Hard, I know.
Do I recall that you are an enlisted candidate? So, I'm thinking a similar process may be happening, involving those with SECNAV noms. Some awaiting medical waivers, etc.
Confusing, frustrating, exhilerating, it is all of this and more!
The waiting is tough. I don't deny that, having lived through it last year.
