INDOC was difficult. The PT wasn't as bad as I thought, however I went in good shape before hand. Other people had a harder time. The mental part was most challenging, with the yelling all the time and having to memorize a lot of rates in only three weeks under pressure. Day by day was slow and grueling, however the weeks went by in a blur.

Hi USMC1550,I'm currently a Midshipman Candidate at the Naval Academy Preparatory School, and I remember being clueless and full of questions about this place when I was applying. I'm willing to answer any questions anyone might have, from INDOC to the academics and athletics here.
How much freedom and supervision do Midshipmen Candidates get? I have seen videos of them playing loud music and goofing off in the hallways supposedly after taps and I wonder if this is a regular occurrence, or an anomaly, holiday, etc. Thanks!
