I realize that the beginning of winter break is after finals. However, when are Mids (in my case a plebe) expected back on the Yard after break? E.g. according to the tentative Spring 2022 academic calendar their is a 4C Majors Fair on 10Jan2022 and Spring Term begins 11Jan2022. What would your bet be for when a plebe must be back on the yard? Asking because I am considering taking vacation 20Dec-24Dec versus 27Dec-31Dec versus 03Jan-07Jan... TIA for your input

Look for “Brigade Reform” on the USNA calendars.

Mids typically report by X hour on Reform (assuming no COVID stagger), a few days before class begins. Time for briefings, company business, class prep, seeing academic adviser, mass urinalysis, etc. Varsity sports team folks, incoming striper staff, etc., may be directed to report in even earlier.

It may not show up in the various calendars just yet, as the pandemic has driven calendar-making into a very flexible mode. Not all calendars are visible to the public at this time.

Unfortunately, I do not see a "Brigade Reform" the past two years or the tentative 2022 Spring?

The Academic Calendars often do not show Reform, as that is not the Ac Dean’s purview.

Perhaps a current mid who can see calendars on the intranet/USNA MIDS system can look for it.

Or your P2B can call Admissions, say they are helping Dad plan long-term for his employer’s time off calendar, do they have a tentative Reform date for January 2022?

Great question. Curious about usna response

Anyone found the answer to when reform date is for winter break this year? Trying to see how much airlines cost now TIA

The operative phrase is “as of now.” The first academic day of spring semester is set. The Brigade may have a date now for when they’re due back before then, but it’s highly subject to change. Especially with covid again lurking its ugly head. That, plus the Supe and/or the Dant may decide down the road to adjust, for any given reason. Semper Gumby!
