DS needs to have wisdom teeth removed and the best time would be this summer, but I strongly suspect he may get the go ahead for his DODMERB physical very soon. I don't now how fast those get scheduled once they get the OK to schedule the appointment. I'm wondering if he is recovering from oral surgery would that be a problem when he does the physical, in which case should we wait to do the surgery over the Christmas break?

I would think he'd be "recovered" in a matter of days. Thus, unless he plans on taking his physical the week of the surgery, it really shouldn't be an issue.
Worst case, he'd need to have his dentist/oral surgeon submit paperwork that he was fully recovered. That shouldn't be a problem with wisdom teeth removal.
