Hello again, service academy forums! I recently received word from my MOC that I am their primary nominee for USAFA. While I am applying to USAFA, USNA and USMA, I have only completed my application to USAFA. If I do not have an *intense* desire to attend USMA and USNA, is there any reason to continue my application to those two? As far as I know I am not an alternate with my rep, and I cannot be a primary for either of my senators at this point. My basic question is: is stressing over another 2 applications worth it at this point for (what seems to be) a relatively small chance of becoming an alternate to USMA/NA with my senators?

My old mom's understanding is: if you have not completed applications to other SA's, you don't have to worry about receiving a nomination nor an appointment for either.

Have not been to either, but my alum USNA and USAFA friends have told me you only want to do a SA if you REALLY want to do the SA. From what you wrote, you want USAFA and don't REALLY want the others. I suspect that's an answer.

@pooled18, I think you know the answer to your question. Own your decision and move on. A great step toward adulthood and officership.
