RC contacted me today and told us that DS is being considered for civil prep. I have no idea what this means. Can some one message me with some info?

A lot of press coming out in regards to TA (tuition assistance) being cut for all branches and NROTC summer cruises being suspended. Is there truth to it? Any other info. in regards to cuts for current and/or future ROTC's?

Anyone have an idea as to how many are left? If so, what are left, NWL? I guess you could probably come up with the reason why I am posting this question. Lotta prayers comin' out of this house.

In my sons portal on the overview page, the nomination info and medical status were on the left column or side of the portal overview page. In fact, even last night. However, this morning it is all on the right side at the bottom of the school evaluation section. OK, so....am I way too observant...

I was sent an email today from my RC. It said "You are on my USMAPS list." What does that mean? Did I get an offer to USMAPS? Did I not get a WP appointment? When will I know what that means? That was frustrating!!!

DS has chosen Rutgers NROTC over 3 AROTC offers. However, RU's NROTC battalion just started last year. Does anyone have any info on them? DS has spoken with a few of the Cadre and is pretty psyched. Cant find any online info though. Did find a small page on FB.

He was already accepted and awarded 20K in merit scholarship money. He just recently received a 3 yr AROTC scholarship. 1. Does Citadel pick up room and board if awarded AROTC? 2. Can he still apply the 20K towards his 4th year?

When you receive your letter state whether or not you received multiple schools or your school that was posted on your portal.

The NROTC site was also down just prior to being updated to offer scholarships. Could it be that AROTC is being updated as well for the very same reason? Lets hope soooooo!

DS got his offer of a 4 yr NROTC to Rutgers!!!! WOW, so excited for him!!!

The letter stated he is qualified. It then went on to inform him of the doing away with rolling admissions. He will hear sometime in the near the February 26 timeframe. He has the nom and is DODMERB qualified. What does this letter mean, if anything?
