Do West Point cadets receive/wear dog tags? I'm just curious

How bad does someone have to do in order to have his or her appointment? I'm just worried because this term got a lot harder and while I got a 3.7 last term, it might drop to a 3.4 or 3.2 this term. Is this gonna be a problem?
