Best service uniform

Yes I love it when i'm right! lol

Only partially correct.:shake:

The UNIFORM is Dress Blue Bravo (Summer). A regular uniform. Also worn by the silent drill team. The particular wearers in this case happen to be the Marine Band.

Thank you all. They played last year at the San Antonio parade that D&B played in over the weekend. I was just curious! Anyone have any pics of D&B down there this year?

I have to say it's a close first with Norwich (gotta love those 19th century cavalry uniforms) and the Citadel. For some reason I love the huge chevrons and plumed hats. Very Napoleonic!

For academy dress, even though I want to go to USNA, I like USMAs parade dres more. Not their normal uniforms, however.

You guys can debate to you rheart's content which service, academy, private institution, etc, has the best service DRESS uniform. But I have to say that the best service uniform has to be the good ol' flight suit, wrinkled, worn so much that it's paper thin in the elbow and butt, with each pocket crammed with enough stuff to make Sherpa guide jealous. And not the McPeak version, with it's useless epuallettes, it leg length seam, it's too deep leg pocket, it's waste of space side zipper, and where you have to be shaped like Ichabod Crane to fit in right.

How I love my bags! I get to wake up, take off my night-time jammies, and put on my work jammies.

I avoid the USAF service dress like the plague!

But, IMHO, the Navys good humor man outfit always has it's advantages if they want to go that way for their second career!

Marine dress uniform... sharpest by a mile! Adds a bunch of class to their birthday bashes.

1. US Marine Corps (just a good looking uniform, maybe it's the belt)
2. US Coast Guard (I am partial to the blue uniform with the brass buttons)
3. US Air Force (again partial to the blue, but no brass here, also nice when they decide to get a hair cut once a month)
4. US Navy
5. US Army

This is not my rank for favorite branches however, USCG is at the top of that list.

Marines indeed! Aside from those square noggins necessary to fit into those pearl white covers.:tank1:

Gotta say that I do not get the USCG or USAF. Heck, my pal drives for Greyhound and I don't like his uniform either.:banned1: "Howdy little lady. I'm a dog jockey. And used to be in the AF. Didn't even have to switch uniforms."

Bah, Marines look like Ice Cream salesmen. The white covers extend too far out to the sides.
