Calling All Football Fans

OK. Lets get down to the real deal:
Navy Vs Air Force on Saturday. CBS 12:00 PM
Go Navy beat Air Force. Revenge for last year.

What? I guess I took your screen name to mean you were an AF fan! Hoping for the best for AF but a bit leery here - it should be a good game in any case.

Anyone seen this video? I really enjoyed it! (But I may be a tad biased!).

A bit annoyed that we have our AF Parent's Fall Meeting at 1100 (Central, same time as game time) on Saturday - I actually checked to make sure I hadn't missed that it was more of a party to watch the game, but no, it's the formal meeting. They did tell us today that they'll have the game on there though - guess which I'll be paying more attention to?! :thumb:

if you are a VMI fan - none of them are great Saturday's this year.

If you're a VMI fan, you haven't had a good football Saturday since Prohibition.

Although basketball was interesting a few years ago when we ALMOST made the tournament. I think one of the players from that year is (or was) in the NBA. That's pretty cool...

Yes. "Jenny" is my daughter. "Forest" is one of the funniest guy's you ever want to meet. She is now TBS at Quantico. The years fly. Video was twenty eigth company that year. Produced by KRIPTER.

Dear Army -
Just curious where the team went at halftime.
Those that were wearing your uniforms in the second half blew your nice lead.
If you could stay and play all 4 Qs at Army-Navy, it would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

LSU/Alabama- some Defenses there! But I would not want to be the Bama kickers right now (though in their defense none of those missed FGs were chip shots). that was definitely a #1/#2 game worthy of the hype.
And what did happen to Army? 14-0 at the half (should have been 21-0) and nothing in the 2d half??

Seriously.

Also, I'd like to give the Oscar Mayer Weiner of the Year Award to the MWC officiating crew who, by all accounts, made the worst touchdown non-call in history.

Ah, the AF fans were wondering the same thing in the first half! Nice that the A team showed up at halftime!

I honestly felt like neither team won that game and both teams did their very best to give it away. NOT a satisfying game to watch no matter WHO you were cheering for (and since I was texting Buff81 throughout the game, she can tell you that I wasn't exactly firm on who I was cheering for!)

I'm not trying to make excuses for Army - but how much does altitude play in to the equation. It just seems that Army was a different team the 2nd half and wondered if the altitude was affecting them at that point.

Virginia football stuns Florida State after wild finish to set up huge game with Virginia Tech
I'm sorry I missed seeing this game yesterday. Sounds like it was one heck of a game to watch.

Go Wahoo's - beat the Hokies!
And on the closer to home front for this site- Army slaughtered by Temple, NAvy lost a heartbreaker to San Jose that keeps them from contemplating a bowl appearance and AF I guess is still a possible Bowl shot having beaten UNLV. And last but not least (well not least if you are a VMI fan) VMI won one more game this season in front of a Ring Figure weekend crowd. hope for next year springs eternal:rolleyes:

How about the SEC West. As a student at one of these schools, things are getting pretty exciting. Hopefully things work out in my teams favor and a trip to the big game is in the future. Some really great football is being played.

I'm sorry- BCS this year just lost their minds. Va Tech gets wiped out by Clemson and they are in the Sugar Bowl while Boise State and Kansas State both get bupkus? What a sad laugher:thumbdown:

And the big game is going to be a big snoozer- Rick Reilly in ESPN called the first LSU- Alabama game accurately:
"
The first LSU-Alabama game was more boring than Tim Tebow's porn stash. To play another one will be like remaking "J. Edgar" or attending a goiter convention...Dullapalooza...If you remember, LSU won the first game -- which resembled hippos taking a mud bath -- 9-6 (in OT, no less), in Tuscaloosa. Didn't hurt the Tide any. They're going to get a mulligan"

Meh- Ok State/Stanford will be a much more interesting game.
And- while it doesn't determine anything- AF/Toledo ought to be a wide open game- Toledo scores points- A lot of points.

Sugar Bowl boss Paul Hoolahan said Virginia Tech’s ability to sell tickets and how it has proven itself “over the years” helped the Sugar make the choice.

At least they are admitting it's all about money.

I think the Cotton Bowl will serve as an unofficial BCS bowl this year. #6 vs #8 in JerryWorld. Two teams that were snubbed by the BCS by pointless rules. Either way, should be one of the better games this bowl season, atleast until Arkansas completely embarrasses Kansas States weak pass defense.

BCS Hell! The only game that means anything to this Forum kicks off at 1430 this Saturday. I'll be watching from Duffy's in Ft Lauderdale. Long story....

GO NAVY BEAT ARMY!!!!
