You have been selected for an interview. Please contact the Professor of Military Science at the school of your choice.

This is new as of this evening(the part about being selected of an interview has been there for a long time)---I was never asked to complete the medical so what does that mean?

They apparently do not check to see if you are dodmerb qualified until after you recieve a scholarship. I, like many others, saw the change of status, got excited, and then realized that it did not mean that I got the scholarship. Alot of frusturated people out there tonight I bet. Looks like a few more days atleast

The new message is just an update to the Status Page Software.

If you are awarded a scholarship you will receive a Medical Packet in the mail instructing you what to do.

Checked my DS' status. His is the same. He received his packet for medical in the mail yesterday. The March board was his only board. Hoping for good things!!!

I think this group has waited so long that not only will we share the news via SAF you will probably year some of us if you listen closely outside, or if you keep your windows open:yllol:

It will be loud here either way...Just want to move on and get the paper work done - at this point I don't even care if DS gets a scholarship or not, I'm just overwhelmed and underprepared to juggle everything on my plate right now.

After all the posts that the status page had changed I decided to take a look.

My son received the scholarship back in mid November, his status page has looked the same since then. I just looked at it now and they have added a new line to it. I would imagine this is what everyone will see if they are awarded a scholarship.

New added Status Message for awarded scholarships:

"You have been offered an Army ROTC Scholarship. We must receive your acceptance/declination by the date in your letter or the offer will be withdrawn. Your name will be sent to DODMERB the day your winner letter is printed. There will be about 72 workweek hours prior to being able to see your name in the DODMERB system."

I must say they should have proof read this before they added it.....I hope everyone receives their "winner letter" soon.

So if I haven't recieved a medical packet in the mail by now, I haven't recieved the scholarship?

Has anyone who opened files at SAs but did not go through with DODMERB receive anything from DODMERB in the mail regarding scheduling tests in the past few days? I got my packet last June in the mail because I had opened files at USAFA and USMA (Went as far as getting a congressional nomination to USAFA and then realize the Air Force wasn't for me). Am I supposed to get a letter soon? The only contact I got through DODMERB was the addition of US ARMY ROTC as an agency on my DODMERB file. I have yet to find the time to go to my physician. Is this basically the same as them contacting me to get a physical done for the purpose of Army ROTC? It wouldn't make sense to send another packet out, right?

Ok, thanks all for the info. March was also my only board. Haven't checked the mail in a few days--almost afraid to!

I feel like I am waiting in a endless line for a roller coaster and just when I get my turn, the coaster is shut down for tech problems:rofl:

Either that or the damn car stops at the top of the first REALLY big hill and leaves you hanging there in the front seat looking down the track:biggrin:

Thanks for the input. I most definitely will.

I'm sure you'll share any good intel with your besties at SAF...:thumb:

AHHH! Why doesn't CC have my medical? I've been DoDMERB qualified since the summer (West Point) but it says I am qualified on the DoDMERB status website!!!

jb55- check my post to youtoo about calling CC tomorrow...

Will do, they will be hearing from me!

So if I haven't recieved a medical packet in the mail by now, I haven't recieved the scholarship?

No, that's not what that means.

The normal process is that you receive the medical packet after you are awarded the scholarship. This year some have got them early some have not, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Good Luck

Don't jump to conclusions. These new DodMERB request may or may not mean as much as we'd all like to think. Many scholarship winners from January board were not DoDMERB'd before their award. Sit tight and think positive, cautious as we all must be and have a strong backup plan, but don't count yourself out an unknown variable. Just me 2 cents.

DS hasn't heard from DodMERB either and he has been finished with everything since summer. I do not hear the fat lady singing yet. I don't think we are in the minority either. There are just many on here that were pre qualified for SA's
which is not our case.

At this point until the letter is in DS's hands, signed IN INK and accepted by CC via fax, email AND snail mail its not a done deal. There are so many variables and unknowns that none of us can predict with any real certainty what scholarships will or will not be offered and to whom. It is incredibly humbling but true - a lot of great, accomplished, dedicated young people will not be recognized with a scholarship to help them achieve their dream of comission. Whether they are currently DodMERB'd or not isn't what I'd bet the college fund on right now. Yes, I'm tickled pink my DS is cleared and qualified-only because my heart meds won't take much more waiting, but if your DS/DD has no reasons to face DQ or even remedials it really doesn't take all that long to get thru the process(we completed from packet to qualified status in 2-3 weeks TOPS). So keep the faith everyone, it ain't over til CC says so

We know that IF a scholarship is in his future and IF its to his college of choice and IF he gets the waiver he will need.... A LOT of IFS. The stars have to perfectly align themselves in our case...so its a long shot in a lot of ways. But if its meant to be then it will happen. If not he has made his plans accordingly. There are so many really bright young men and women out there. No one is a shoe in and No ONE is counted out at this point. And who is to say that if the answer is NO this round that it means the goal has to change? There are always alternatives. I just trust that DS is following the right path for himself with the correct goal in mind, but how he gets there is a mystery at this point. That is where we can go bananas in the process. Hang in there everyone. It shouldn't be too much longer:thumb:

Question About Status

Hello All,

I noticed that my daughters status shows parts of the application that has been received and required before the board will review her file. Not until today did it show this information and it says medical has not been received. We did not receive anything from Dodmerb prior to the deadline for these items to be turned in. Does this mean she did not get looked at by the last board? Thanks for any input.
