Admissions stats seem to indicate that the SAs take a larger percentage of qualified female and minority applicants. If the percentages aren't representative of the US population overall it would seem that it isn't because of a bias in the admissions process.Service academies are still no where close to gender equality and are majority white.
BTW - what percentage of the US population between 18 and 24 years old is considered non-white and can meet the overall admissions standards of the SAs (ie - citizenship, non criminal record, academics, DODMERB)? My "guess" is less than 30%.
