My son accepted for session 2.

Ironically, my oldest son was NOT accepted for USCGA AIM (summer session), but they asked him to visit campus the following fall and offered early action admission. So those who do not, for any reason, get into the summer program should NOT give up on regular application process.
 
I'm from Houston too. Haven't got a letter yet but i'm hopping i'll get it soon.
 
I believe they are taking applications until April 1st. So you have at least a couple weeks to potentially get that letter.

I'm guessing, like USAFA SS, that there will be another wave of acceptances two weeks after the first one. The letter received (apparently by most people around the 16-18th of March) gave you two weeks to pay online, and have all your forms returned to them. So right around the end of the month, they'll probably offer another batch of acceptances based on how many people don't complete that requirement from the first batch.

I'll be attending session one! I just got my letter in the mail today and it was dated March 24. I'm from New Hampshire and applied on Feb 11, if that helps anyone. I'll be attending session three of AFASS as well :)
 
Did any of you guys pay your tuition by check? I paid on March 23rd at around 8-9pm PST. My payment still has not been processed and I was wondering how long it takes for a payment to be processed, since the deadline for payment for me is this Monday.

Also is it just the tuition that is due in two weeks or do I have to get my payment AND all my forms in as well? I am not really sure how the power of attorney form is supposed to be filled out; who is the "notary public" that has to sign the form?

You need to have both the payment and the paperwork in by the 2 week deadline.

You can find a Notrary Public in the yellow pages. I have one where I work that signed/stamped my son's paperwork. The signatures must be done in the presence of the Notary, for them to verify who really signed!

On my letter, it was dated March 15th, however I recieved my letter on the 18th. Would the deadline for me still be this Monday or would it be Thursday?

My payment still has not been processed. I wanted to wait to see how long it would take for them to process it and now it seems like I can't ask anyone about it until Monday at least.

Also, all we have left to complete is the power of attorney form. What exactly is a notary public?
 
so what happens if i don't get my letter in time, will the payment date be extended, and do is the payment day deadline based on when we mail it out or when it is recieved?

I was wondering the same thing, the letter says "[P]lease submit your deposit no later than two weeks after receipt of this letter"

I recieved my letter three days after the date on the letter. However, how would they know when WE actually RECIEVE the letter? So I thought it would be safer to go by the marked date.
