To the parents of current cadets and mids…what are your kids doing this summer? I enjoy hearing all the different things they get to experience.
My cadet is spending most of June in Europe. The first 11 days are on a military history trip through Germany, France, Luxembourg, and Belgium – it follows the 1940 and 1944 campaigns in northern Europe during WWII. After that he will be doing research for his thesis paper at the university in Freiburg, Germany. Then home for about 10 days leave. For two weeks in July he’ll be at Basic Mountain Warfare in Alaska. Then home again for two weeks leave before returning to start the last academic year!
