I am vehemently opposed to ANY tattoos. If I have two candidates, for a position, and one has tattoos and their skills are comparable - it will be the tie breaker.
Stevewar2 was using it as regular army...current tattoos are grandfathered in; however, enlisted are no longer allowed to commission or go warrant if they have tattoos that would disqualify them from initial entry. Highly recommend against any tattoo at this point for anyone considering West Point, especially with those unfamiliar with the regulation and how it is actually enforced.
But if a CC shows up w/ a sleeve, would they be allowed to in process or is it a DQ on Rday?
Just so I understand, if you have two equal candidates, one has a tattoo that meets all current regulations, you would base your decision to eliminate this candidate solely on the tattoo?
My oldest has a sleeve full of science related tattoos. He has condemned himself to a life of long sleeved shirts, as he's in a professional occupation that doesn't flaunt tattoos. Life is full of choices--I think he realizes now that he could enjoy science w/out the permanent art work...but he does love them.
