BGO's are initially assigned by Schools, i.e. if a BGO is assigned to that School, the BGIS system will assign the candidate to the applicable BGO. If there is no BGO assigned to the particular school, the Area Coordinator will assign the candidate to a BGO, usually based upon proximity. If the candidate is out of the area (college reapplicant or some other reason), an Area Coordinator can reassign to another BGO within the state , or can coordinate with Admissions and have the candidate reassigned to an out of state BGO.
More than likely, the BGO will live within a 20-minute drive of you.
Not really.....my record is about 4 hours. (I live in a largely rural state, and the BGO's are usually gr0uped in the larger Metro areas).
