Already 4/1, and still CPR. Did anyone get their decision yet?

I personally didn’t contact to ask about my rank. IF you were to contact, I would most likely call to put a “voice to your urge”. What would finding out your rank help with?
Just to see where I am compared to candidates in my district. But you are right, it wouldnt change anything.

I'm not sure if I can get through the next two weeks, especially with the fact that I am home all day till then.

Did anyone get their results yet? Im not sure if hearing nothing back is a good thing or a bad thing. One minute I feel hopeful, but the next minute I feel dejected.

I guess the fact that i still haven't received a decision yet means i am still on the shortlist?

Know the feeling. Hang in there!

How did that go? Any useful information regards to our situation? From the great state of NJ.
Same here, CPR with no Nom so praying for NAPS.

It’s fine. You live in California yourself? I hope the best for you and a future appointment hopefully!

Yes, born and raised. Actually grew up in a "Navy town" -China Lake. I loved it when people would come through town and ask "Where's the Lake?" (It's a dry lake). They had a huge earthquake there around Fourth of July last year and they are still having aftershocks. I have lived in Southern California, Central Cal, and now Nor Cal for the last 22 years. I think Nor Cal is actually the best though. California should probably be broken up into like 5 different states, because the regions are so different, but that probably will never happen.

Wow that’s very interesting and actually good to know! Thank you for sharing that.

I'm also CPR. But, at this point, I think the best thing we can do is remain hopeful and believe in ourselves. You never know what will happen!

My first time applying I finished my application in September and got denied mid April. Last year I was waitlisted early April and was finally denied in mid June. This year I’m sitting on an LOA and waiting for a waiver to process. If you want it bad enough you won’t mind the wait. Try not to think about it and just take it one day at a time. The wait will end.

I don't mean to be rude, really I don't. I should add that this is not directed at you, or you alone, but to many on this thread. Have you thought about what the hell will your reaction would be to combat? All your doing is waiting for word. What will you do when you're waiting for shells to come your way? Are you up to this?

EDIT: Dig deep folks. You can wait this out!

C'mon man, really? Combat? Give these kids a break...
Do you know how you'd be in combat? I thought I knew how I would be, but I (luckily) never faced combat - few in our military have or even will!
Funny, my Dad was a combat veteran of the Korean War and he used to always talk about the "garrison" soldiers that thought they would be the Audie Murphy's when the "shells came their way". Guess what? He said that most of the toughest and baddest ass types were the first ones to crap their pants in combat, and the one's whom everybody thought would turn and run ended up being some of the coolest under fire. Worrying about an Academy nomination at 18 years old is hardly a harbinger in predicting whether a young person is "up to this" or not. This is a big deal to these young people and likely the 2nd biggest decision/opportunity of their lives.

Thanks - it is unfortunate that so many are so worried about being factually or technically “in the know” or correct that we forget that these forums are intended to be a resource to very nervous kids and parents, most of whom have nothing like this in their past experiences - IMHO - extend hope and reassurance, we can’t change things in the end but we can all choose to arrive with dignity, mutual respect and a sense of fellowship towards a common but individual goal - leave the ‘reality checks’ in their proper place, they will come soon enough

The good news is it's really only a few...
