I hope that we don't start a Bourbon comparison thread where I have to sample many of them.
I used to go to Louisville several times per year on business and loved it but that was >25 yrs ago and before the Bourbon Trail was a thing.I don’t want to derail the thread, but a month ago I was sent to Northern Kentucky for two weeks by my employer to work on a software go-live. Since the plant we were at works a 4-12 schedule we had Friday through Sunday off between the weeks. Of course the only reasonable thing to do was hit as much of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail as we could during that three day period. My coworker and I made it to 11 of the 21 official stops on the trail (we actually went to two of them twice, so it was 13 stops). Lots of fun and very interesting. I will admit that between the two of us we ended up with 21 bottles of bourbon to bring home.

Oh Bourbon. The elixir of life, the yummy corn/wheat/rye mash aged to perfection. It is before noon but mouth is already watering thinking of that lovely brown liquid. I vote for bourbon thread. But it has to be refined. No scotch, no Irish, no Tennessee whiskey, just pure Bourbon.I hope that we don't start a Bourbon comparison thread where I have to sample many of them.
Or Rum for that matter. . .

"That's 'Retha Franklin. She don't remember the queen of soul."I had completely forgotton that 'Retha was in that movie.
Uh... what's a Hardee's?Chick-Fil-A chicken is moist, tender and flavorful, but the crunch factor is way down there. I am happy to eat it, but I am not checking my crunchy fried chicken block when I do. I do have a fondness for the chicken biscuit available in the AM at Chick-Fil-A and Hardee’s.
You must not get to the East Coast. Not all chains are national, even today. It’s a burger chain that’s been around since the 20th c. It’s a cousin of Carl’s Jr., owned by the same restaurant group.Uh... what's a Hardee's?
And this torched off a memory for me. I was introduced to Goslings by my Team Captain and eventual Ensign Roommate/Best Man who went from being a two-time Class A (Black N plus Star) winner to being a flag officer and senior member of his staff corps community.Fueling Naval Academy sailors for many decades!
Part of many team adventures, most that resulted in memories/stories and SOME that resulted in Class A's. . .
