Official EA Mail Stalkers Unite Thread!

Ok we got in to DODMERB and it said USCGA Alternate and that was as of DEC 16th. USNA says in process as of June 10th and this is puzzling on Merchant Marine it says Offer Extended as of June 30th but never finished application process..???

Make the wait a little easier

Although my d has been deferred for CGA and still anxiously awaiting the next round. I just wanted to inform all of you that have help in this stressful process that she just received a NROTC tier 2 scholarship to Duke. YA:yllol:

Congrats to your daughter and yourself...this is a great achievement and a nice "Plan B" should the CGA not work out.:thumb:

Boss, are they all in the mail yet? Forgive me for my lack of patience/pestering. -officer

They have not all been mailed yet.

The plan is to still meet the December 24th date for notification. snowstorm / blizzard notwithstanding.

My DODMERB changed to say that an offer has been extended. I have been very blessed this last week to be offered appointments at three academies: USMA, USMMA, and USCGA.

Today we saw my daughter listed as an Alternate for USCGA it was a little dissaponting, but we went to the mail box today and she just got the big envelope accepting her into NAPS...we are excited everyone said she would never get in with her ACT/SAT scores but I knew she could do it...Yeah! My son will be a firstie and my daughter will be a plebe at USNA....what more could a mom ask for wooo hooo....good luck to those still waiting!!!!

Allright, well nothing again in yesterday's mail (Saturday the 19th). So I guess all the notifications will have to be mailed out by tomorrow (Monday the 21st) for us to have them by the 24th. Right? Priority mail 2-3 days shipping: 22nd--23rd--24th. This is really hard, but I know the news will be here soon. Objee/Luigi/Boss...anyone, throw me a lifeline. -officer

P.S.-don't mean to be insensitive about the huge snow storm you're having, I'm sure you have alot to deal with just getting to and from where you need to be. thanks.

It may impact the mail service in the North East and Mid Atlantic.

Statement as of 7:17 AM EST on December 20, 2009
A Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 11 am EST this morning.

Snow and areas of blowing snow with wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph
will continue through mid morning... with the snow tapering off to
flurries by late morning. Total accumulations of 12 to 18
inches... except 18 to 24 inches over eastern Suffolk and southern
New London counties are expected... with locally higher amounts
possible.

Most of CT didn't get hit too hard...except for the Greater New London area which had anywhere from 18-20 inches.

Also don't forget this is Christmas week so mail is delayed as well...hang in there folks!

Okay Luigi, thank you for letting me know. Stay Warm. -officer

Have all the files been reviewed and just needing to be mailed, or are they still waiting for sups. signature? Where in the process are we talking here?

Round Eight closed on Friday, so all 975 EA records have been reviewed by the CCEB and Admissions Committee. There are ~15 appointments, ~20 CGAS appointments, and ~100 deferral letters that will be mailed on Monday. Due to the blizzard, the Academy closed at 1400 on Saturday and remained closed today for snow removal, so we couldn't even get on base to work if we wanted to.

Total numbers

Sir: What were the total appointments/CGAS/Deferrals/Rejections out of the 975 application? Thanks
