AAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH! Still no mail, no phone call, and no change in DoDMERB. My emotional spectrum is huge today. Maybe some good news tomorrow. -officer
 
Still no mail. No news. No change on DoDMERB site. Just when I feel like I can't stand another day to know, I go another day.

got the call today! I've been accepted to a prep school with the sponsorship of the CGA!

Does accepting this change your chances at getting accepted regular decision?

Can you choose NMMI or MMI, or are you assigned one or the other?

EXCELLENT!!! Check with Objee to make sure this is correct, but I think if you accept your Scholars, then you forfeit RA consideration. I'm totally clueless about who chooses the school, sorry. Nevertheless, WHOOT! And get to know JCollins. Her daughter is in the Scholars program. -officer
 
thanks officer! i dont know though my AO when he called said "if you accept this offer and you are accepted for RA then your RA supercedes your prep." but i just wouldn't want them to dismiss my consideration for RA just because I'm already commited to prep, you know? and thanks for the contact! :biggrin:

I'd previously posted that applicants accepting a CGAS appointment would not be considered further for a direct appointment; however, this policy has changed, so accepting your CGAS appointment will have no impact on your reevaluation during RA.

In the past, students have been able to list a preferred school, but ultimately one is assigned based on a lot of different factors.

Oh No. I'm so so sorry dreamer. Hang in there for RA, okay. My mail will be here in about 2 hours, so I'm feeling pretty nauseated to say the least. I'll let you know. -officer

Our daughter was placed in the Deferral / Alternate pool today. She is not too bummed. She knows how competitive, especially EA, is. She said, "Thats OK, it will just mean that much more when my appointment comes in the spring". Gotta love her optimism!!

Oh my, bless her for attitude. She sounds like a great kid. How did you find out about the deferral? DoDMERB or letter?
 
Neither. A coach called to give the heads up. They weren't sure it the letter would make it by tomm. Didn't want her wondering over the holiday. They really are all true professionals at CGA. It would have been much easier not to make that call, but they took the high road.
 
Hang in there officer! I am a firm believer of "Good things come to those who wait!" We are waiting also!

We just found out from Admissions that we were deferred. I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your families. I will be chatting with you all after the New Year for RA. -officer
 
I'm sorry officer; you've been a source of inspiration during the long wait. I'm still stalking my mailman... nothing again today. Did you call Admissions?
