Round Eight closed on Friday, so all 975 EA records have been reviewed by the CCEB and Admissions Committee. There are ~15 appointments, ~20 CGAS appointments, and ~100 deferral letters that will be mailed on Monday. Due to the blizzard, the Academy closed at 1400 on Saturday and remained closed today for snow removal, so we couldn't even get on base to work if we wanted to.

Deferral

I Got deferred also. O well gotta update the application now and keep on trying!

Deferral? If so....all is NOT lost. Keep pushing forward. Retake the SAT...do something that sets you apart from the crowd....volunteer work, or take a class at night if you have time. :smile:

We haven't offered CGAS appointments during EA in the past, but we're doing so this year...those ~20 CGAS appointees will have the option to accept their CGAS spot (and not be considered further for a direct appointment) or be reevaluated during RA if they're not interested in CGAS. All the other service academies make their prep offers this early, so we're really just matching them.
 
Did any of the CGAS appointees already receive deferral letters or were their applications held until the last round of reviews?

They should not have received a deferral letter, but I guess anything is possible...the CGAS appointment is their EA notification letter.

The majority of the CGAS appointments will still be offered during RA (usually February-March) as we have done in the past.
