Permit to Report Class 2026

Possibly by region then? I’m also C but obviously got stuck with the 0630 report

Naval Bagels opens at 0600 weekdays. Chegba - the egg, bacon, cheese bagel.
Capt MJ saves the day once again! Hopefully I’ll have enough time before 0600 and 0630 to sneak in a quick bite but probably not :(

You need to have some fuel for a long and exhausting day, even if you stockpile a few power bars or Kind Bars, string cheese, some nuts, an apple, some water, the night before and eat that for breakfast. You’ll have many times in the military where you know you have an early rollout and a day with unpredictable meals, so you think ahead the day before.

It’s time for my annual warning:
Do not stand too close to the doors of Alumni Hall waiting for your time to get in line.

The vortex will sweep you into the yawning maw of Alumni. If the line is moving well, staff will come out and gather up Plebes To Be and whisk them inside, regardless of reporting time.

There has been many a tale told here of a P2B dropped off with a parent, while other parent goes and parks the car and returns, only to find there is no P2B to deliver final words of wisdom and a hug to.

Loiter across the street under the Worden Field shade trees.

And as for how reporting times are assigned, it could be any number of methods, including random, and makes no difference. It could be alpha number, a calculated mix so reporting times are scattered evenly across PS companies, or a big dart board the Admissions folks break out just for this. 😉

You get the "thrown into the pool at the crack of dawn!" Trial by fire!
It’s a better chance of actually getting through the processing stations and actually having LUNCH. So there is a silver lining!

My ‘22 got delayed. No food until he saw us after the Oath. 7 pm-ish. And he had an early reporting time! Make sure and eat a hearty (if possible) breakfast, even if it’s not your normal jam. And make sure mom and dad and take food for after the Oath. And plenty of cold drinks.

We're trying to figure out what to do ...... I don't think the little dude (plebe-to-be's 3-1/2 year old brother) will be able to tolerate dropping him off at 1000 and then wandering around Naptown for umpteen hours waiting for the parent's time. And same thing with going over to the grandparent's place to wait. The dude will get bored.

So, I'll probably drive our son down solo, and then we will all come back to say "bye" before the real shenanigans start. And that will be close to the little dude's bedtime! :p

Amish Market opens at 9:00. Not sure I’d recommend a pretzel dog for the plebe-to-be. 😳 But perhaps for Mom and Dad while killing time until the swearing-in ceremony.
