May I suggest your kiddo make an entire duplicate PTR once it is complete? I kept a copy here, he took 2 with him. Also, he kept his SF86 on a thumb drive locked in a safe. Many times throughout their career they will need to fill that form out again. Having all of the data that you have to compile to complete it ready to roll for the next time, is wise.

I believe it stands for Academic Background System, although I am not looking at the forms right now so that is just off the top of my head

DS and I are all new to this process, but the PTR is where you really start realizing this is N*ot College. Your other normal college bound friends only have to figure out who is bringing the couch. On the upside though, I won't have to pack and haul a truckload of stuff on drop off day!
