Permit to Report Class 2026

You never know. By the time they end their first year when you think they're coming home for zero-block and have their other Summer trainings all figured out, everything could change the same day you're expecting them to be packing for the flight home.

"Sorry Mom & Dad, they moved up my Block 2 training to Friday. I have to be in Norway at the end of the day tomorrow to catch the boat before they go under the ice pack, wish me luck!"

It’s time for my annual warning:
Do not stand too close to the doors of Alumni Hall waiting for your time to get in line.

The vortex will sweep you into the yawning maw of Alumni. If the line is moving well, staff will come out and gather up Plebes To Be and whisk them inside, regardless of reporting time.

There has been many a tale told here of a P2B dropped off with a parent, while other parent goes and parks the car and returns, only to find there is no P2B to deliver final words of wisdom and a hug to.

Loiter across the street under the Worden Field shade trees.

And as for how reporting times are assigned, it could be any number of methods, including random, and makes no difference. It could be alpha number, a calculated mix so reporting times are scattered evenly across PS companies, or a big dart board the Admissions folks break out just for this. 😉
The vortex is real. It happened near Alumni Hall today. Anonymous is now in the Mid Store until I-Day guarding the '26 merchandise for parents. Good luck all!

So we can't be sure when the MIDN's will be allowed to come home? Yet another reason to use Southwest for travel. Thanks.
Honestly, they all do the same as Southwest presently. I personally have used delta, American and United. And the ALL have waived ‘change fees’, and allow you to cancel and receive e-credit (other than the very basic, non-changeable fare, which isn’t much less than economy, tbh).

Of course, check while you are booking, but ever since Covid, the ‘bigs’ have waived fees and allow cancellations, similar to SW.
