I’m only aware of one so far and he was Coons’s principal nominee. DS portal seems to be stuck on “Pending.”
 
I saw someone say that it showed rejected on CIS before he got a letter. Say for example he was rejected from the academy but given an appointment to the prep school would CIS still say rejected, or would it say some other status?

Rejection on the CIS would mean rejection from the academy, prep school (NAPS), and from foundation. Prep School offers will show on the CIS as: NAPS - Appointment/Foundation - Appointment.

I’m not sure if you are on one of the various Facebook pages for appointees (2028, regional groups, etc.), but there are quite a few appointments for the southeast already. Lots of Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee appointees in the groups.

How about North East?
 
Son told me that there are 3 noms (including him) from our MoC in his HS class, he’s friends with both of them.

Our MoC doesn’t rank nominees or designate a principal.

Crickets.

Just briefly scrolling through one of the sites, I do see some Northeast, looks like several from NJ, NY and CT. They are even welcoming people to join the NE parents club and attend the event for appointees if you are an appointee from that way...

I tried to look on these groups and there’s only one I could join and the others are for already accepted candidates. Any groups suggestions that will allow a pending candidate?

Well, you heard from them!! Just like making a wish with a genie, it is always in the semantics as to what you will get. An open ended/vague question will allow open ended responses.

I'm not in charge of the Magic 8 Ball. It's mystery and power are far beyond my influence! :p

Sorry to inform you ................. sounds like you will still have to wait for the purge to get your answer. ;)
