    Contracting Concerns Regard COVID-19

My school has chosen to bring back students, and the ROTC program is proceeding in a mostly normal way. However, other MS1's and myself are not given the opportunity to contract until mid-late September. Seeing how re-opening has gone for schools like Notre Dame and UNC, I am unsure if we will...

    DoDMERB Status

On my portal, I currently have the "no action" status regarding the DoDMERB. I was told that the qualified status is good for 2 years, and as a re-applicant, I am still under a year since I was last considered qualified. When I log into my DoDMERB portal, my status shows up as fully medically...

New ACT format starting September 2020

I am re-applying to West Point this fall for the class of 2025, and am planning on retaking the ACT. I have 3 solid scores on sections but my science is lacking a bit. Does anyone know if West Point accepts scores from the new one section format? I'm asking because I know some schools will not be.

    Rucking Prep

Given that there is nothing to do right now, I have been going on a lot of ruck marches. However, the dumbells I have been using have really not been to kind to my lower back. Anyone have any ideas for objects or things to use as weight to put in a backpack?

    AROTC Scholarship Transfer Request

So I have finally decided on my school for next year, but unfortunately, I accepted my 4 Year AROTC scholarship to another school. If anyone has any experience with transfer requests, or how likely you are to have one granted I would love some input.

    Re-Application

I unfortunately just received my TWE in the mail today. West Point has been my dream school for as long as I could remember. Although I am crushed by this, it has only made me want to re-apply and improve myself as a person. If someone could give me some advice on how to improve my chances it...

    Accepted Candidates SUBJECT: Required Training

I had a portal update yesterday that was informing accepted candidates of training to be completed by May 15th. I have not been accepted yet and was wondering if this was pushed out to everybody with a portal open regardless of if they are waiting or if they have heard back.

    ARTOC Scholarship Transfer

I was awarded a 4-year scholarship to a school I may attend, and was not awarded anything for another school I am considering. Because I have missed the deadline on the final board, is there any possibility of transferring the scholarship to another school or will I have to wait until next year...

    ROTC Programs-Coronavirus

I am just curious as someone who is either going to enter an ROTC program next year or a service academy, what will the impact of coronavirus be on ROTC programs. The school I received a scholarship to is telling everyone to go home which means that the ROTC program is put on hold. Anyone had...

    Allergies

I currently have a qualified medical status for both AROTC and USMA. However, today I found out that I have a very minor allergy to dust mites (microscopic bugs that are found everywhere). I have already received an ROTC scholarship, but I am currently waiting to hear back from USMA. Will a dust...

    Letter From Admissions Office

I just received a letter a few minutes ago on my portal saying that the admissions committee has deemed I am qualified both academically and in physical aptitude. Does this just mean I am officially being considered?

    CFA Scores

I am a bit worried about my pull-ups on the CFA as I was only able to complete 8. I am roughly 6' and 185 of mostly muscle (4 years of powerlifting/Olympic style weightlifting and very intense track sprinting preparation). The other portions of the test went pretty well, but I still am a bit...

DoDMERB Exam Difference for AROTC vs. USMA

I have applied for both West Point appointment and for Army ROTC scholarships. I just finished up my DoDMERB exams for West Point and realized that I may have to go through the process again for Army ROTC if I receive a scholarship. If I am cleared medically for West Point, will I have to...
