Thank you. I took the pic with the best camera I've ever owned. My IPhone 11. Wife is the nutcracker collector and they will be replaced with a collection of military related things, photos, coins, etc. in the cabinet when we undecorate. The flag and other wall items are there year round.

We are having dinner at home as usual, never been party animals on NY Eve. I am sipping pink Champagne as I labor over a garlic-roasted tenderloin; arugula salad with homemade raspberry dressing, Stilton crumbles, a bit of bacon, mandarin orange segments; homemade onion and Parmigiana Reggiano focaccia; apple pie (my own) with gingersnap crust. And as my late mother used to say after a major holiday meal event, “YOYO tomorrow.” You’re on your own - eat leftovers as you wish.

Toasting my many friends and visitors here on SAF - health, peace and happiness in 2024 to you all.

Sad news in my household. I decided to make a filet dinner - the last meal I would take if I was on death row.

Filet was room temperature. Dried, salted and peppered. Looking for my onions to sautee (kitchen remodel)- couldn’t find them. Took dogs out. Ran to store to get onions. When I got back I found my onions. My filet was missing.

it isn’t old faithful. My 75 pound goldendoodle old man. It’s the 9 month demon I named Angel. Irish goldendoodle. How do you discipline the most beautiful girl, who cuddles and loves you?

You immediately realize your error in not buying tenderloins for that part of the family. She knew you had set it out for her.

I'll probably watch some of the game. I did a preemptive strike on the wine and am eating the grapes. Wife has headphones on. Daughter is hosting a party and we weren't invited. Millennials !!! Am I right? Son flew out to San Diego after Christmas and will drive up to Pasadena tomorrow for the Rose bowl game. He had two tickets and I wasn't invited. Another millennial. Oh well. I'll be in bed before midnight.

I hope you got drunk enough that you didn’t hurt too badly over the Packers win. I just finished watching the game and now I’m struggling with deciding to stay up until midnight or not.
