I have just received a letter in the mail from the Academy saying I should take their Precandidate Questionnaire Application. I went to the website and found the class of 2016 application is that the PCQ or something else, The PDF file attached I read said you shouldn't fill out a PCQ if you have already applied to SS. Got answers? BTW I think it's time for me to get hoppin on my nominations anyone else get started?

Have you applied to the summer session yet? If you have then you don't need to do it again, if I'm not mistaken the questionnaire was part of your package. For what it's worth, don't apply to the nomination sources too early, you want to be able to submit the most competitive package that you can, wait so that you can submit grades and extra curricular activities and awards, I don't think you can update a nomination submission the way you can update your application to the academy of your choice.

The paperwork you do at/for summer seminar automatically starts the process for applying to the academy. E.g. Pre-candidate questionnaire. So you're good to go.

Do not start hopping on your noms.

Most noms close out in October, and none of them are on a rolling basis...i.e submit Aug 1st and you get one even though the date is Oct 30th.

Start hopping on SATs and ECS. Practice your CFA.

Look at your resume from a WHOLE Candidate picture. 2400 SAT and 4.0 uwgpa, can't do a pull up and no ECS is going to hurt you compared to a 2200 SAT, 3.5 gpa and Captain of the LAX team.

WHOLE CANDIDATE= Well rounded student
