2018 Summer Seminar Status Update

Not for me yet. I think (based on previous posts) some people did get the Summer Seminar acceptance last week or so. But I believe (based on last year's threads on Summer Seminar acceptances) occurred mostly in Mid-February and I think based on what I read people also did receive acceptance in March as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about it yet since I'm pretty sure USNA is busy with Class of 2022 applications and so on (I think right now is the time where all the schools even service academies become busy with both class of 2022 and future class of 2023.).

I saw on another thread that some were notified 1/30 with a 2/9 deadline to register.

Although some have already been notified for Summer 2018, based on threads from last year, I believe the bulk of notifications went out end-March.

The deadline to register is specific to that notification date. The registration deadline will change for those notified later. People will receive acceptances into April.
 
According to the other thread (See NASS) - another waive of acceptances was released 2/6 (a Tuesday - so consistent with ACatSLP post above). I'm wondering from what geography? My DD applied. We are in Northern VA - just about 45 mins from Annapolis so wondering if her application will remain at the bottom of the pile even though we had it in on the first day applications opened. Also applied to WP SLE - may have a better chance at that given geography?

Thoughts?

DS applied to NASS 1/4 and SLE 1/16. We are in NJ.
 
Just my uninformed opinion, but I wouldn't read too much into geography and NASS invitation waves. We are about as far from an ocean as you can get and still be in the US and DS (who has really good ACT/PSAT scores) has not heard about NASS invitation.
 
I received my letter of acceptance Monday 2/12. I am required to confirm my spot and submit payment by the 28th. They may have notified me early because I was accepted into the first session.
 
I was informed of my acceptance to NASS February 13th with a payment deadline of February 23. I am enrolled in the second session.
 
DD just got email notice - she's in for Session #2 at USNA Summer Seminar. USNA must have just released a batch of acceptances.
We are from NoVa - so this is a pleasant surprise.
 
I received an acceptance middle of March last year. It was a super fun experience, but not a dealbreaker if you are not invited. Spend more time focusing on finishing junior year strong with solid grades, athletics, and clubs to improve your ‘24 application!

My DD got accepted into NASS for summer 2018. She declined though.

The BGO who interviewed her in August knew she was accepted into NASS and declined. He asked why she declined.

She was offered an appointment 2 weeks ago.
