TAMU, UT Austin on NROTC. Admission to these schools already in hand, now waiting for scholarship results.

For anyone in OP's boat (3Q but no nom) who eventually had a nom "found" for them by Admissions, what month did you receive your appointment? I'm wondering whether this category of applicant typically gets their appointment much later in the process than everyone else.

DD had a nom “found” for her by USAFA. (She already had noms for two other SAs.) Her LOA, conditioned on acquiring a nom, came very late — as in a couple days before the national decision day of May 1.

As SAF veterans with more experience than I have said, an SA “finding” a nom for a 3Q candidate is rare. Yes, it can happen if they really want a candidate. But don’t bank on it happening. Tend to Plan B, etc.
