Accepted to Summer Seminar!

wow you guys are lucky, with all the snow days we've had our graduation will come to be either 22nd or 23rd. maybe even the 24th :eek:
Oh, and Shelton, is that Shelton CT?
 
Well... being as I have no clue what you're talking about, unitedstatesAFA2013, I guess not. Shelton is just my last name - and might as well be my only name for that matter, I can count on one hand the number of people close to me who use my first name.
 
so I-day is the 25th of June?? That seems really early.
What if your birthday in during BCT. Do you get double the pain?

That'll be me (assuming I get an appointment)! I decided to go to girl scout camp instead of applying to summer seminar (I found out about it a week before the application deadline last year), so you probably have a tougher decision to make, falcongirl. Just remember that if you attend the academy, this summer will be your last chance in a very long time to go to camp. Congrats, everyone :thumb:
 
yes June........................what the hell! may??? that's ridiculous. I'll be the only person in there who went directly from school to basic. that sucks.

And Shelton, I thought it was Shelton, Connecticut. It's a town in CT. I was just wondering cause I know some people from that school.
 
My graduation is June 4th, although it was scheduled for June 11th for a while. Wow, May!?! When does school start for you? we can't start in MN public schools till after labor day.
 
We started school in mid-August. So still not a month before you guys. That is strange... :confused:

Ya, sorry man... I'm sure your school has it more on the ball scholastic-wise though. My school is, ummm, has limited administrative skills. We'll go with that :thumb: I'm not complaining or anything, but... I'm sure that if my school district had a longer school year, they wouldn't be under academic probation. :bang:
 
you wont be the only one... theres plenty of cadets who had to miss their graduation to get to I-day hehe.
 
started august 20 graduate june 5. at least i think so. we've had 2 snow days so far this year but graduation hasn't changed other years this has happened. i think the rest of the school will have to go to school that monday tho. hehe. But same here ryan, i get almost 3 weeks to enjoy freedom one last time!
 
lol. After being here for just a little bit of time, anything from high school seemed insignificant to me. Everything here has been far more meaningful for me.
 
I couldn't imagine starting school as late as some of you are saying, in Tennessee, we start the frist or second week of August, and graduation is around 20 May.
 
We start Wednesday after Labor day and our graduation is on 16th of June :D
 
They made a law in Minnesota last year that public schools cannot start before labor day (Sept. 1), mainly because a lot of students work at the state fair (which happens to be a rather big deal here for some reason).
 
Shelton- It is a different thread that is somewhere on either page 1 or 2. It has a nifty little set-up so we can keep track of all of us going to SS!

Falcongirl- I got rejected to USMA SLS, but that's ok because Navy is my second choice too! Or 1st lol, who knows what I will like most or decide on. But really it's between Navy and Air Force if things were to fall right for me within a year. I can't wait till the Navy application comes out, can you say up at midnight Feb 1?
 
I don't know about midnight, but I will apply as soon as I wake up! :thumb:
