Does the USAFA superscore the ACT scores? If so, would/should the highest score from each part of the test show on the test scores portal?

So if we scored really high in one area but no so hot on another, will they kind of let one good score make up for a bad one? For example, I got 35 in English but only 26 in Math (and I have taken it 3 times and STILL can't seem to raise my math score!). Will a good English balance out the iffy math one?

I think I should be able to handle Calc 1 next year, because I am taking AP Calc AB this year and doing decently well. I am honestly surprised I didn't do better on my math portion, as I have been in advanced math all throughout high school. I am just nervous that my score is too low to be really competitive...but I guess we'll see come March. So if we scored really high in one area but no so hot on another, will they kind of let one good score make up for a bad one? I think you're confused about what superscoring means. If you take the ACT more than once, they take your best math score, your best english score, your best composite score. They don't average anything. If you're having trouble with the ACT math, try the SAT. Some people do better at one over the other.
Also, math is pretty important. They start you out at Calc 1, so you need to be ready for that.
Yes. Everyone will take Calc 1 and Calc 2.do you have to take calc even if you are taking something like a history major?
You do if you attend USMA or USNA, so I assume the same is true for USAFA. There is no escaping Calculus.do you have to take calc even if you are taking something like a history major?
Have you not looked at the mandated curriculum? USAFA is commonly referred to as the Little Engineering School in the Rockies. It is a Math/science oriented college.do you have to take calc even if you are taking something like a history major?
Your composite would be a 30. What you also need to understand is your ACT score is just a % of the PAR. PAR is just a % of the whole score. They are also going to look at your cgpa, class rank, course curriculum rigor and school profile.I have a 33 Math and 32 Science but only a 28 in English and 29 in Reading. Are these scores competitive with what gets into the academy?
My DS validated Calc 1 and Calc 2 so did not have to take either. He started with Calc 3. I don't know if he would have had to take any Calculus if he decided to pursue a history major.Yes. Everyone will take Calc 1 and Calc 2.
That's super impressive. I can't believe he would want to start at Calc 3! He must be a super genius! My DS validated Calc 1 and Calc 2 so did not have to take either. He started with Calc 3.
