The application does not seem to address these, at least as part of the initial packet. My DS has found the forms online. Should he go ahead and get them done and submit them or should he wait for his interview or contact from the recruiters?

For AFROTC, yes. Go ahead and get it done when your son is ready to take it.

Follow the guidance listed in your son's Wings account regarding who may administer the test and document the results on the appropriate form.

If your son is applying for the Marine Option then the PFT is normally conducted immediately before or after the interview and is administered by an experienced Marine.
