I was just wondering how attainable it is to do both. I know that I will probably have to miss 3-5 leadership labs due to the schedule and when they play, but other then that it seems like there is not conflict. I would also be on scholarship idk if this is important to add?

Depends on the varsity coach and the unit. In general the unit will want to see you play sport as long as conflicts are minimal. There may even be times they insist you be at lab. How does the coach feel about conflicts? Does the team always come first? You need to discuss this with cadre and the coach.

It has been said many times that it is possible although hard and you really need the coaches and the detachment commanders to be cooperative. There is going to be a difference be D-1 or D-3 varsity sports in terms of time commitment so that's also another factor. The other factor is the time commitment to school and how many classes they are taking. My sons were basically taking four classes per semester but there are students who take more. Take 18 units, do D-1 sport and Rotc may be impossible for most people

It’s at a D3 institute

It's not an uncommon occurrence. Talk to the student-athletes currently there and doing it. I can speak of a weird occurrence this year to me though, we have 5 seniors in different ROTC branches and on my sport's team and they're all sitting out of matches voluntarily, they said they're this close to commissioning, no sense in risking an injury a few months away from their goal. Our coach is cool with it, because he wants us to achieve all of our goals (academically, athletically, personal and professional). Anyway, it can be done; see the 3 below threads for some further insight on the subject:

Not quite the same, but you'll get the gist
