AFROTC Inactive Enlisted Ranks

I was just reading that while being a cadet through AFROTC I'll be assigned an inactive enlisted rank. It is said that this is based upon varying levels of experience, like Civil Air Patrol or JROTC. I wasn't involved with but I am an Eagle Scout. So this brought up two questions, 1) is there a way to figure out what enlisted rank I'd be assigned (and if the rank of Eagle Scout will have any effect)? And 2) is the enlisted rank important for anything? This might all just be a paperwork thing that isn't important in the grand scheme of things but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask around.

As a Freshman, you will be assigned the rank of Airman (E2). Your cadet rank is more a function of your position within the program.

On my incoming DD's detachment website under documents to bring: Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) (certificate or HS transcript), Civil Air Patrol-CAP (certificate) and/or Eagle Scout or Girl Scout Gold Award documentation (card/certificate) (if applicable)
