Longest weekend ever.

We received the same rejection letter.. Did it state you would be notified a day earlier for cadet for a day? And you were a strong candidate?

I wonder which session I should choose since I'm available to go to any of them.

Question and maybe I overlooked. Do you get a checklist of what you need to bring with you? e-mail or mail?

You will receive a packet of information of any documentation you need to complete for AIM as well as a packing list. Its pretty basic stuff, nothing too complicated. I'll say this: fit everything for the week in a duffle bag or large backpack...do not bring a rolling suitcase. I'm not going to tell you why.

I highly recommend Session 2 having been an AIM cadre. Again, I won't tell you why. Disclaimer: The schedule doesn't change for AIM week to week so if you signed up for 1 or 3, that's completely fine! I have other reasons that I'll share after AIM.

Congrats to all of those who were accepted! Its a great program! To those who weren't, don't worry! It is in no way indicative of your success in applying for acceptance to the Class of 2019. I highly recommend the Cadet for a Day Visit if you are able to make the trip.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask! I was an Aimster in 2008 and then an AIM cadre in 2012.

Thanks for the advice! My dad wanted me to choose session 2 as well so session 2 it is!
Now I have to seriously start preparing for the camp. :thumb:
Oh and I can see why you suggest a large duffel or backpack because I heard that AIMsters have to travel around campus with it. :p

I wouldn't refer to it as "camp" in front of your cadre.

Just some life advice from a guy who has spent three summers at the Academy (two as cadre/XO and one as a swab).

Good luck! :yllol:

Oh yes, I'll be sure not to.
Thanks for the heads up.

Anyone know the stats of how many apply vs how many get accepted?
