DD and another candidate both received nominations from the same congressman just before Christmas. They also both have another nomination, she a presidential, the other candidate a JROTC. The pre-interview letter from the senator indicated that she had to let them know if she had a nomination from any other source. At the time she had only a presidential and sent an email indicating this. She did not send a follow up email reporting her congressional nomination because she received a letter indicating they were aware of her congressional nomination and therefore would not interview her for a senatorial. BUT the other candidate was given the opportunity to compete for the senator's nomination...has anyone heard of this before? We think it means either, the academy indicated to the senator's panel that she is "out of the running"... or she will get some life changing news soon. Also, shortly after receiving the congressional nomination she was invited to a CVW... I see many others were invited around the same time but we know many are invited who do not get appointments. (btw we live in MD) What do you think?
