Any other 2016 USCGA hopefuls out there who are still waiting?

Objee,

Can you share the number of candidates who are currently on the "wait list"?

I understand the "wait list" is not ranked and that many factors are considered if/when someone moves from wait list to appointment. Is it premature for a wait list candidate to contact his AO to discuss his/her status now that appointments from EA and RA have been extended or should wait listed candidates stand by for more clarity after May 2 or even later as advised when they accepted a position on the wait list?

Did you ever get a response to this question?

No, I did not receive a response. Based on the lack of response, I assume that the information is not readily available at this time or is inappropriate to share on this forum.

Best wishes to all those fine young men and women who are still hoping for notification of an appointment!

Finally, just today, got our TWE here in Texas. At least the waiting is over. Good luck to all who have and have not received appointments. Great things lie ahead!

Our call of duty as USCGA Admission's Partners (latest bulletin news):
What can you do right now as a Partner? Call those students with appointments and encourage them to accept their appointments!
For those with conditional appointments, congratulate them and ask them if they have completed all of their paperwork to ensure they can move into a full appointment status.
Here I go,
Point one:
Congratulations on receiving an appointment to the USCGA Class of 2016 and please send in your notification if you are accepting the appointment
Point two:
If you have been offered a conditional appointment to the USCGA Class of 2016 please complete your paperwork so that you are able to move to a full appointment status.

PS: If you are accepting your appointment now is the time to think about setting up to have your appointment certificate formally presented at your high school's awards ceremony or graduation. Please do not wait until the last minute. :thumb:

That should do it :)

Received a TWE here today also. Good luck to everyone who was chosen, and to those going with plan B. There is always next year!

To those who did not receive an appointment, it does not mean that you were not worthy, it only means that you were not selected. If this is what you really want, start making plans now to reapply. You are more familiar with the process, and you now know better what to do. An AO once told me "reapplies tend to do well".
Good luck on whatever path you choose. You can only come out of this process stronger.
