Application is complete, when could I hear about a decision?

I’ve been fully qualified since October, and I received a nomination a few days ago. I know I’m supposed to “hurry up and wait”, but does anyone have an idea of when I could hear about a decision? Of course no one can know anything for sure, but is there any chance that Admissions reviews my application soon, or is it likely to be a few months before I hear anything?

Thank you for your time.

You should expect to get the decision anytime between now and April. That’s how it works. No correlation or causation with when your package became complete. Admissions is putting together a large and complicated puzzle.

While you’re waiting, tend to Plan B, C, D. Spend quality time with family and friends. Finish senior year strong. And stay in shape.

Thanks for the guidance. Hopefully all the waiting will be worth it.

Does that make a difference on timing?
They sent me a letter saying that because I am fully qualified and have a LOA, I will be among the first wave of appointments sent out in late February. If you're curious, here's the letter they sent. If you do not have one my guess is the timing will depend on when you application was completed.

The timing will depend on how admissions needs to build their class. They have to review all nominations and start to build the class they need.

This is not a hurry up process but an exercise in extreme patience and controlling that which is in your control.

I know, I get it. I was beside myself as a parent when my son went through this. It’s easier said than done when so much is riding on it for the applicant that has dreamed of this for years. Hang in there, manage your time and responsibilities, and tend to alternate plans.

Oh, spend time with friends and family as well. Regardless of the outcome you likely won’t live at home full time again. That is a huge change for all.

You will know by 1 May. It is the notification deadline. Usually there is a big wave in mid to late January and then things go steadily until late March…then a bunch of TWEs come out in Mr h & mid-April but BFEs come out until 1May. There is nothing to do but wait. Work out, enjoy this time w your family & friends, keep faith.

Interesting thing is, the time of my LOE to the LOA, I had not changed or updated anything in my application. Although, I did receive a nomination that was put into the portal late November (could have been the reason why I got a LOA). All I had left to complete was my CFA before my LOE, but I submitted them the day after my LOA was in my portal.
