Am I correct in thinking that the 127 page security clearance needs to be filled out, printed and hand -carried on Iday ?

The college level chemistry class questions only give options for grade received and how long ago you took the class, even if you mark that you have not taken any college level chemistry. There is no "not applicable" or appropriate choice for students just out of high school who have not taken a college chemistry course.

That is correct! It's best to do it with a parent or guardian around. It comes in useful during BCT when they only have a little bit to apply for their clearance online. Put it in a manilla envelope with the other important documents you have to carry and that way its easy to grab when you need them during BCT and I-Day

Yes of course, the form itself isn't actually submitted to the academy in hardcopy. The cadet will use the information they have prefilled on the paper version to make it easier for them to fill in information on the online version. Basics get stressed so much during BCT sometimes they forget their home address (among other things) so they make it easy and have them fill it out ahead of time.

DS just did the chemistry question and still had to input a grade.

@99Gold, when I click on the "I did not take a college chemistry course or I took a chemistry course at a preparatory school", the other two questions for grade and recency go away. Try and have your DS refresh the appointee kit, and if that doesn't work send me a PM.

Does anyone know if there is a hard due date for the appointee kit? Obviously it is before I-day, but I cannot find anything in the appointee booklet saying when kit must be submitted by. I would like to wait as long as possible to take the math placement test as I still have another quarter of Calculus left.

The appointee kit wasn’t even on my sons until he did the pre appointee and uploaded his covid card. Not sure if that was everyone’s experience.

Don’t bother. If your appointee is not an IC or trying out for certain sports it will not be needed. Sneakers will be fine and one less thing to carry!

I have been told those will be loaded by Admissions soon. You'll receive an email at the email address you registered for the portal with.
